"Homicide through arachnicide"

Films: Arachnicide (2014)

Alias: None

Type: Mutant

Location: Haunted Home/Forest

Height/Weight: Up to three times that of average elephants.

Affiliation: Neutral

Summary: Growth experiments just seem to have the very worst effects around arachnids. It started with Deemer's little experiment in the 50s, and then it just kept going here and there until now. This time, the results are just inexcusable. Like, really inexcusable. Those bastards are everywhere now...in an abandoned lab.

History: A while ago, a scientist developed a special incubator that could accelerate the growth of any organic life form. Unfortunately, a crime syndicate took over, and used the machine to grow more drugs than ever before. Naturally, a squad was sent to Albania to take this crime out...only, the drugs weren't the only thing that grew. The facility has been long bereft of people for a reason. As it turns out, the incubator somehow got some Sydney funnel-web spiders into it, and they've multiplied as well as grown to gigantic sizes. Now, the humans find themselves in a death trap.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: The facility is blown up, then a forest den full of them is blown up, and then some of the bigger spiders are gunned down. That said, some actually die of old age. Also, there's at least one big spider left...

Powers/Abilities: Grow as time goes on, with a limit that is not known. They are also particularly venomous.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 3.5-We'll give the guys who made these cheap CGI monsters credit. It must have been Hell making them that hairy. And in a way, it helps make them a bit more a presence around all the real stuff. These things are pretty much spiders in line with the sort of abominations that Mother-In-Law was a part of, albeit, again, way hairier. Also, they come in droves.

Trivia: -While they may not look like funnel-web spiders anymore, these spiders do act like them on occasion. Two major factors include mainly sticking to making homes via funnel-shaped holes in the ground full of web, and being able to deliver a deadly venom from their fangs.

-This film was under the working title of "L9 Commando" during production.

Nobody put that in the dictionary.

"This is the end...beautiful fiend..."

There was no lighting that would have fixed this bug.
Sydney, Australia's worst nightmare.
